Who we are

SixOneFive Soccer was founded by Ben Wright, Valair Shabilla and Chris Ivey in partnership with the Pharmaceutical Soccer podcast as an independent and reader-supported source for all Nashville soccer news.

Ben Wright (Founder & Executive Editor) has covered Nashville SC since the beginning. He founded the Speedway Soccer Podcast in 2018, covering the club since their first year in professional soccer. After branching out to focus on written soccer journalism, Ben covered Nashville SC for Broadway Sports Media for nearly five years, and has covered Major League Soccer for outlets like Backheeled, GiveMeSport, and MLSSoccer.com. He was voted 2024 Sports Writer of the Year in the Nashville Scene readers' poll.
