International duty

The biggest issue for Nashville is international duty. Andy Najar has been a lock starter at right back, while Jacob Shaffelburg is a key member of the squad and just returned from injury. Third-string goalkeeper Xavier Valdez also misses, while Matt Corcoran is valuable midfield depth.

Bryan Acosta remains out with a thigh injury. The Honduran international hasn't been involved for Nashville since mid-preseason. Tyler Boyd and Maximus Ekk are also still out as both continue their recoveries from torn ACLs.

Julian Gaines is questionable with the thigh injury that kept him out for Nashville's first three matches. He played 67 minutes for Huntsville City last week, and trained all week with Nashville. He could be an option to replace Najar at right back.

For Montréal, several key players like Fabian Herbers, Jalen Neal, Jules-Anthony Vilsaint and Giacomo Vrioni are out. Stalwart center back Joel Waterman is also out on international duty with Canada, while Fernando Álvarez is questionable.
