NASHVILLE, Tennessee – New Nashville SC head coach BJ Callaghan was introduced to fans and the media on Friday afternoon at Geodis Park.
“When I first got the phone call about the interesting job, you start to sort of analyze a club from,” he told reporters in a mixed-zone setting before his official introduction. “I would say from your perspective, from your own values, and when you start to look at Nashville, you understand first and foremost how much support there is in the city, from the fans and the supporters.
“…It’s a really great owner, and then you start to look at this playoff equipment roster and facilities, and so as you continue to just keep working down the line of criteria that you look for in a club where you can be successful, and one that aligns with your own personal values, it eventually became a no-brainer for Nashville.”
