Huntsville City FC announced the signing of forward Gunnar Studenhofft on Tuesday. Studenhofft, 22, represents the Cayman Islands at the international level, scoring two goals in five caps.
“We are excited to add Gunnar to our group for 2025,” said Matt Cairns, Huntsville City FC Director of Soccer Operations in the press release. “His pace and power will excite the fans of the Boys in Blue, and his style will complement the rest of our roster this season.”
Studenhofft was drafted by the Colorado Rapids with the 65th overall pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. Collegiately, he played at the University of South Florida for one year, scoring four goals in 13 matches, and two years at Manhattan University, where he scored 12 goals and five assists in 33 matches. Studenhofft also spent a year in Orlando City's academy.
