NASHVILLE, TN – Huntsville City FC have officially announced the signings of midfielders Moisés Véliz and Alan Carleton ahead of the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season.
As reported by Broadway Sports Media, 20-year-old Moisés Véliz joins on loan from Panama City-based Tauro FC on loan with an option to purchase. The midfielder has made six appearances for Panama’s U-23 side, with almost 60 appearances for Tauro in two professional seasons after coming through their youth academy.
Alan Carleton is a product of the Atlanta United youth academy (and the younger brother of winger Andrew Carleton). The 19-year-old made his MLS NEXT Pro debut in 2022 with Atlanta United 2, making 56 appearances with the club in two seasons (including three matches against Huntsville) where he scored four goals and added three assists.
“We’re delighted to bring Alan and Moisés to Huntsville,” said Huntsville City FC Director of Soccer Operations Matt Cairns in the club’s press release. “Our coaching staff has experience coaching with and against Alan and are excited not just about the talent he is but also the potential and room for growth he still has in his game. Moisés brings great pedigree having played professionally in Panama for two years now. His aggression, bite and passion will be a great asset to the group.”
