On Tuesday, Huntsville City FC announced the signing of goalkeeper Erik Lauta and defender Tyshawn Rose to their roster ahead of the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season.
Lauta, 21, joins after two seasons with the University of New Hampshire, where he was named 2024 America East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year. Lauta has been with Nashville SC in preseason training camp.
Rose, 24, spent the last two years with North Texas SC in MLS NEXT Pro after a collegiate career at Boston University. The left back recorded eight assists in 30 matches.
“Erik is an exciting prospect for us as a goalkeeper, and we are delighted to add him to our group after his superb college season,” said Matt Cairns, Huntsville City FC Director of Soccer Operations in their press release. “Tyshawn has been the standout left back in MLSNP over the last two seasons. He’s a highly impressive human with great qualities to fit our system.”
