NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC announced on Monday their end-of-year roster decisions, making sweeping changes heading into their first offseason under new head coach BJ Callaghan.
Nashville exercised contract options on defenders Julian Gaines and Lukas MacNaughton.
Nashville declined contract options for goalkeeper Ben Martino, defender Joey Skinner, midfielders Aníbal Godoy, Brian Anunga and Amar Sejdić, and forward Forster Ajago.
Josh Bauer, Brent Kallman and Dru Yearwood are out of contract. Nashville are in negotiations with Bauer to return for the 2025 season. Anunga, Godoy, Kallman, Sejdić and Yearwood are all eligible for free agency, which begins on December 12.
Bryan Dowd, who was acquired on loan from Chicago Fire, will return to his parent club.
Nashville also announced the departures of Kosuke Kimura and Matt Pickens from the coaching staff. Both played for the club in the USL Championship during the 2018 and 2019 seasons, and had been on Gary Smith’s coaching staff since the start of their time in MLS.
