NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville SC made two selections in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft on Friday, as well as adding much-needed General Allocation Money.
The Coyotes opted to trade their sixth overall pick in the first round to the Colorado Rapids, taking $125,000 in 2025 GAM and up to $25,000 in 2026 GAM in exchange.
With the sixth pick of the second round (36 overall), Nashville selected forward Alioune Ka from Cornell University. The North Richland Hills, Texas, native spent four seasons with Big Red, scoring 16 goals and logging six assists in 50 games. In his 2024 senior season, Ka started in 18 of his 19 appearances, finding the back of the net eight times.
In the third round, Nashville used the 66th overall pick to select winger Ethan Ballek from the University of South Carolina. The 6’0″ junior spent two years at Virginia Tech before transferring to the Gamecocks, where he started all 17 of his 2024 appearances, adding nine goals and five assists.
