NASHVILLE, TN - Nashville SC striker Sam Surridge was voted MLS Player of Matchday 10 after a four-goal performance in Nashville's 7-2 win over Chicago Fire FC.
Surridge scored a pair of first half penalties in the 14th minute and nine minutes into first-half stoppage time. He made it a hat-trick five minutes into the second half and scored a nearly identical goal just six minutes later to cap off the quadruple.

With the standout performance, Surridge became the second Nashville player to score multiple hat-tricks along with Hany Mukhtar, who had a brace in the match. He also becomes Nashville's first player ever to score four goals in a single match and just the 19th player in MLS's 30-year history to hit that mark.
Surridge is second all-time on Nashville's MLS scoring list with 20 goals, and third in all competitions behind Daniel Ríos (27) and Hany Mukhtar (80).
This is Surridge's first time being named MLS Player of the Matchday. He's the third Nashville player to receive the honors, along with Hany Mukhtar (8) and Randall Leal (1). Surridge is the first Nashville player to win since Matchday 22 of the 2023 season.
