On Tuesday, Huntsville City FC announced the signings of two strikers with MLS Next Pro experience, Malik Henry-Scott and Gio Miglietti.

"Malik is an exciting profile with his versatility across the front line,” said Huntsville Director of Soccer Operations Matt Cairns in the club's press release. “He has great pace, a consistent goal threat and a winning mentality. Gio is a proven quality striker in MLS NEXT Pro. His ability to score goals, bring others into play and set the tone out of possession are all qualities that we look for in a striker."

Henry-Scott arrives on loan from newly-minted USL Championship side Lexington SC. Prior to his arrival in Lexington this offseason, Henry-Scott became a 2024 MLS Next Pro Cup Champion with North Texas SC, scoring four goals and setting up three assists last season. One of those goals and two of the assists came in the playoffs as well.

Henry-Scott came up through the ranks of the FC Dallas academy before playing college soccer at Tulsa. In the academy ranks Henry-Scott logged 25 goals, while adding another 17 during his time with the Golden Hurricane.

Gio Miglietti arrives from Tacoma Defiance, where he scored 14 goals and logged four assists over two seasons, including two goals in the 2024 playoffs. Before his stint with Tacoma, Miglietti played his youth days with the Seattle Sounders academy, and then spent four seasons in college at Washington, where he scored 19 goals and assisted seven more. Miglietti also earned All-Pac 12 second team honors in 2022, and an All-Pac 12 honorable mention in 2021.
